YEA, VICTORIA PAINTINGS
"i have spent time in Yea from my motorbike riding early years to now.  it is a old heritage town that has survived the worst when it comes to bushfires.
some years back this township was the gathering place for people all over, cut off by raging fires that licked at the door steps of the township for many days,
​the townsfolk and firemen stood their ground.

the old heritage buildings are all still standing, most travelers pass through at speed, headed for the distant ranges. there has been some focus on Yea's historical legacy with restorations and repurposing some of the buildings..

​I did some 30+ watercolours, pen and ink drawings, plein air sketches for the local art gallery in the old bank building (circa 1900) one of my first studies - enjoy".• artist: glen
